New Delhi, Aug 25 (PTI) — Amazon MX Player is set to launch its new reality series, "Rise & Fall," on September 6, and the first promotional video is already out. The show will present a lineup of 16 celebrities, including actors Arjun Bijlani, Dhanashree Verma, Kubbra Sait, and Kiku Sharda, and will be hosted by former "Shark Tank India" judge Ashneer Grover.

"Rise & Fall" brings together 16 celebrities from varied fields like Bollywood, music, politics, entrepreneurship, and social media, set in two contrasting worlds with a fierce battle for survival. The unscripted series promises to deliver the compelling elements viewers love, with challenges, twists, and thrilling moments that are sure to captivate.

Amogh Dusad, Head of Content at Amazon MX Player, stated, “At Amazon MX Player, our aim has always been to introduce bold and innovative formats that connect with India’s wide-ranging audience. This show acts as a profound social experiment reflecting real-world disparities between the powerful and powerless.

Deepak Dhar, Founder & Group CEO of Banijay Asia & Endemol Shine India, added, “Rise & Fall isn't just another reality program; it’s a daring social experiment confronting power and privilege. With a diverse cast, evolving dynamics, and unpredictable human behavior, the show is packed with drama and intensity like never before."

Ashneer Grover, making his debut as a host, expressed his excitement: “The unpredictability excites me most, with power changes happening in an instant. No one knows who will lead the next day. Hosting feels like having a front-row seat to the greatest power battle India has witnessed, and the audience isn’t ready for what’s in store.”

Contestant Arjun Bijlani shared, “Though I've hosted and acted, nothing compares to a show like this, where unpredictability is the main allure.” Dhanashree Verma expressed her connection to the hustling spirit, noting, “This show tests your physical, mental, and emotional limits, making it a unique experience.”

Kiku Sharda added, “If I make it through without losing my humor, I’ll consider it a win."

Based on the British series of the same name, originally hosted by Greg James, "Rise & Fall" is poised to be a must-watch.
